CD printing on a white or silver background, which is better?

It's entirely up to you, your CI and your taste!

If you leave out the white underprint, i.e. print your CD label directly on the silver surface, then the silver of the CD will shine through. Depending on the color choice, intensity and viewing angle, you also have the well-known "rainbow effect" of a CD/DVD.

With white suppression, the printed result of the CD label looks exactly like the booklet.
