Checklist for print data production

  • Most suitable format: PDF
  • Fonts not smaller than 6pt
  • When printing the CD, the text may begin to run at 8pt due to the coarse rasterization, especially with fonts that appear in bold.
  • Please use professional fonts; we assume no liability for inferior fonts.
  • PDF/X3-2002?
  • correct size format?
  • Breed margin set?
  • CMYK mode?
  • Font converted into paths? (only needs to be done if the print file is saved as a PDF)
  • no spelling errors?
  • Texts at least 1 mm (suggested 4mm) away from the edge of the final format (so-called “safety distance”)?
  • sufficient resolution? (The print data must have a resolution of 300 dpi. If the print file is saved as JPG, the maximum image quality must be selected when saving)
  • multi-page documents (e.g. booklets) created as imposed double pages (in the correct order)?
