Trimmed margin

What is the trim edge?

Print files must always be 3 mm larger than the document itself. After printing, the printed matter is cut to the final format. The end result is a perfect result without white "blemishes" on the edge of the paper. For this reason, you will always find the so-called "data format" and the "final format" in the specifications for your product. The data format is the size in which you must deliver the file to us, the final format is the final size once the print data has been cut to the correct format. We also have a safety margin that must be kept from the edge of the final format in case the knife slips during cutting. The safety distance varies slightly depending on the product.
