Print finishing
What means Foil lamination ?
There are a variety of print finishes that can individualize and embellish a product, using special techniques and different materials to improve the aesthetic quality and feel of the printed materials to make them more appealing and of higher quality. Film lamination refers to the application of a thin layer of plastic (film) to printed materials to protect them and make them more visually appealing. Matt is often suitable for a classy, understated appearance, while glossy allows for a more vibrant, eye-catching presentation.
Matt film lamination:
- Smooth surface, but reflects little light
- Gives the print an elegant and discreet appearance
- Reduces reflections and fingerprints
Glossy film lamination:
- Smooth surface, reflects light strongly
- Gives the print a vibrant and eye-catching appearance
- Accentuates colors and details, but can be more susceptible to fingerprints and reflections
